Clever Sew And Sew!

The latest Folksy seller article titled "Clever Sew And Sew" is now on IndieSmiles ! It features Zoe of Top Floor Treasures , Kate of Bluebell And Rosie  and Gemma of SugarAndRhubarb . The cute photo of the embroidered picture on the left also in the article is by Folksy seller Kerry of  Hello Monkey . I asked Zoe, Kate and Gemma what was it about sewing they loved, where they buy their materials and whether they recycle.  I don't enjoy sewing and will avoid it if I can but looking at the beautiful things these three Folksy sellers produce it does make me wish I could get over my needle-aversion! We Are All A Wee Bit Nosy

That's the title of my latest Folksy article on IndieSmiles ! It features mini interviews with two Folksy sellers ~ Christine of Planet Events  and Danni of nelli D . Planet Events sells trimmings and accessories and nelli D is home to quirky resin jewellery and handbags. Incase you haven't come across it before Indiesmiles is a great place for news concerning handmade shops in regards to marketing, business tips, Indie shop reviews and interviews and more, as well as off topic that relates to various subjects including how handmade (Indie) teams are making a difference with their charity and community work. You can also advertise your shop by placing your 125×125 image on every page of IndieSmiles.com. All ads rotate to provide optimum visibility. The cost is $12 for two weeks or $20 for 1 month.  It's definitely worth a look!

First Folksy Article On IndieSmiles!

My first Folksy article is now up on IndieSmiles ! It's titled "What's Folksy?" and is an introduction to the idea behind Folksy and the wealth of talented designers and crafters to be found there. I chose photos from several Folksy sellers to be featured in the first article to give an idea of the talent and originality of UK designers and crafters.
